The Turner Family Trophy Hunters’ Chase at Fakenham on Tuesday turned out to be a one horse race from the start, as the dominant Little Legend scooted in under regular pilot Cynthia Haydon.

The diminutive but likeable nine-year-old jumped from fence to fence and none of his three rivals could ever get close. This was his fourth win on the bounce following on from three wins between the flags.

The win also acted as reward for Cynthia Haydon following a stressful journey to the racecourse, suffering from a flat tyre on the horsebox when coming along the M25.

Coral Point had previous form around here and stayed on gallantly for second place, having not jumped brilliantly. He was albeit 36 lengths behind the winner.

Hurricane Carter eventually picked off Kriss William for third place. Neither ever threatened.
